Here we have to rods

Duo-Lite FX Twin Tip Barbel (1.75-2.25lb) I assume is the old model.

Fox Duo-Lite Twin Tip Barbel (1.75-2.25lb) 12 Foot Barbel Rod - New. SKU 118381 - Buy, Sell, Part-Exchange at Tacklefanatics

and.......

Fox Duo-Lite Specialist Twin Tip Rod (1.75-2.25lb)

Fox Duo-Lite Specialist Twin Tip Rods | NWAC

The spec on both rods seem to be exactly the same the only noticable differances I can find is that the fx has the tips painted white and then lastly the price with a massive £60 differance between the two rods.

Maybe the blank is differant?
What do you guys think? Personaly I would go for the cheaper option

That design of Cork handle looks very Drennan, I wonder if it's a rebadge.

It's along time since I looked in on these pages, but I find myself with little to do today - and then I noticed this. So here goes.

I purchased the 11ft version from Tackle Fanatics about two months ago and having been disappointed previously when they had no stock despite advertising that they did, one of their chaps looked after me very well the second time around. I suggest you phone them and speak to Duncan.

I can tell you that mine came without the white tops, which was what I preferred. My mate David had a couple (from elsewhere), but he liked the white tops and had to have them painted back on. It's a personal preference, white works well at night though, I also have a Royale with white tops.

They are a damned good rod that I use for light carp work as well, unfortunately I have yet to christen it with a barbel, which seem as rare as rocking horse poo this year. The 1.75lbs top seems to work better on the 11ft rod than the heavier tip, but that's how I like it. The feel may be different on the 12ft version, of course. As I say, I use mine for carp also and with fish so far to around 15lbs it's not even broken into a sweat.

If you really are keen on one (or two), give Duncan a ring.

I was only thinking about you the other day Jeff (after eating a rag pudding ;) ) and wondering how you were getting on. Strange world and you pop up on here a few days later.

Jam roly-poly pudding, now your talking. Must make one with vanilla custard.

Sorry to have hijacked the thread! I am sure the Fox rods are wonderful too;)
