River Wey - Above or below Guildford?

Hi there,

New to the forum so I hope I've put this in the right place?!

We're hiring a canal boat on the Wey from a boathouse just north of Guildford. We've got it for a long weekend and want plenty of fishing time, so not planning on motoring too far, but as we've never fished the river/navigation before, I'd appreciate advice on:

- whether the best spots are North or South of Guildford (what direction should we sail for best fishing?!)

- what sections are free/available on a day ticket?
