Hey,
After some great advice on this forum, I ended up with a Shimano Forcemaster and a matching baby baitrunner reel.
I went to test it out today on a small local water and I was really impressed. However, I still could use a few tips on the best way to approach a still water when using a feeder.
This pool has no obvious features, about 4-5 feet deep. I found myself just aimlessly casting, with nothing obvious to cast too. When a water has no obvious features, should you just pick a spot and try to build up a swim?
I have read that lots of people use the line clip so that you can get maximum accuracy. However, if you hook into a carp, what stops it from snapping you? Fish safety is important to me, just want to make sure that I don't do anything that could be harmful.
Finally, how long between casts? 10 mins 20mins? Or is it something that differs depending on the water?
Thanks
