Chas and Dave on Jools Holland

Don't suppose anyone else saw Chas and Dave on Jools Holland the other night? They played a song called Wonder Where he is Now - on the surface, a very simple ditty about fishing in the canal as kids... with an undercurrent of nostalgia and maybe a viewpoint on mortality (though I might just be reading too much in to that!)

I could be wrong, but I think it might the first song to ever mentioned the humble gudgeon, and that's worthy of celebration all by itself!

No, its definitely this week's. I only tuned in because (shameless name drop) a couple of mates of mine play in Gaz Coombes band and they were on. I think C n D announced a little while back that they were going to stop touring... Chas Hodges had some treatment for cancer I believe... but that does seem to have been successful and they're starting to do a few shows again.
