Not exactly. I've always taken the 50M spools to be hook lengths. What confirms 'a' difference to me is the different diameter of the 3lb on the 100M and 3lb on the 50M - 0.14 and 0.129 respectively. They're the only two you can compare directly.

I suggest an email to drennan,it appears a totally different line and with that will come different issues,abrasion resistance,knot strength,supporters etc.
