I own both the ultra's and the plus's and absolutely love them. As others have said, the plus is great all round but you will feel the difference between them when you are bringing in say a half pound skimmer as the ultra is a very soft and super forgiving rod whereas the plus has a bit more backbone for playing those larger fish.
