I purchased the 17 ft acolyte just last week from Bobco tackle ,used it twice its a nice rod gives great float control at distance. And sets the hook well when long trotting.
Had a few grayling up to about 1Lb and a chub which was a good 5lb ,no problems with the chub it managed fine.
I can hold it for a good couple of hours, before I put it down for a drink and a sandwich . 10 minutes max and back to it.
Definitely the best 17ft I have had to date.
