An article written for a local Marlow magazine(called Round & About)reports that a chap having a pint on the terrace of the Swan at Pangbourne was called to help an angler bent into a good fish!
Tha fish turned out to be a 21lb carp which followed a 13lb'er from a pre-baited swim some time earlier.The angler was fishing from a launch!!
Don't know how old this info is but it was written up in the December issue so maybe Nov/Dec.........but then how many people have a pint on a terrace at this time of the year........./forum/smilies/wink_smiley.gif
Anyway,its interesting info and just maybe some anglers may have hooked it and lost it in the past,maybe thinking they had hooked a record barbel!!!
Is this a good size for the Thames-does anyone know?????
