Yep, and whos bait tray is like a gourmet menu for fish. The Black Prince he is on about is Edward of Woodstock, who later became the Prince of Wales ( 1343)

I think my father had an old Intrepid Black Prince back in the late 50’s early 60’s and I had an Intrepid Extra and an Intrepid Envoy (I still have my Envoy in the back of a drawer somewhere).

I also have a small Mitchell 308 ‘Prince’ reel (see pic) which I haven’t used since the late 60’s.


Yes the line on the reel is probably over 50 years old and I don’t think it’s Diawa Sensor either

Out soon hopefully Mike, been busy looking at bungalows, My hose sold STC , had offer accepted on a bungalow so hopefully things will quieten down now, I'm thinking of going for a few hours on Friday.

My first reel Alan when I was 10!!! I haven't a clue whether it was good, bad or indifferent! I seem to remember it was 9s 6 d!!!

Mine too, can’t remember the price but would have been about 1968/69.
