Oxford DAA waters are day ticket from below Godstow Lock down to Iffley, also a stretch at Clifton Hampden. Plenty of chub and roach throughout plus perch and bream. Day tickets £8 on the bank or £5 through a tackleshop in advance eg Top Tackle in Abingdon Road, Oxford. Feeder and breadflake a good bet for both roach and chub.Oxford & District AA

Is the fishing from the Head of the River Pub along Christ Church Meadow and past the sailing club day ticket fishing? And what species dominate it?

There's no fishing on the Christchurch Meadow side of the river, never has been, but the opposite bank which is the towpath is part of the ODAA water I described above. Mainly roach, some bream and perch.

Thanks for that Mark. I get to Oxford about every 2 months or so for 3-5 days and regularly walk that side of the river CCM. Having never seen anybody fishing either side of the river wasn't sure whether fishing was allowed at all.
