I’m a disabled angler in that I cannot walk very far. There is a lake at Dunorlan Park in Tunbridge Wells which looks very nice and seems to be in my walking range from the car park. However, their webpage shows a day ticket price of £18 per rod. £36 for two rods seems excessive to me for a public park that limits fishing to a small area. Does anyone know anything about this place ?
I can’t help feeling that they don’t really want anglers but if we are daft enough to pay the price then they’ll take our money !

Curiosity took me to that web page too, hard to fathom why the high ticket prices, absolutely no references to the lake in any of the fishing forums that I can find.

I take it you took note that it observes the close season?

Yes, I saw the close season note. I spoke about it with a local tackle dealer who told me that there are some enormous bream 11 - 12lbs and some decent carp, along with 20lb+ pike and big perch.
