1. Don't fish within 20 yards of another angler unless invited to do so.

Even if you are more than 20 yards away, even 60 or more yards away, don't chuck a lead into anther anglers swim. Have the common courtesy to ask them where they are fishing first.

If you absolutely can't fish without music, turn the sodding sound down!

If you don't have a membership book, day ticket or rod licence - stay at home!

On a roll, here!

If you're having a few beers and a bit of a social...remember some folks are fishing the lake to relax, even to catch fish. They aren't p*ssed and can do without the shouting and gobbing off.

Never ask a fellow angler where he's been catching all of his big uns too!

It's probably taken the "said" angler a long time and a hellof a lot of hard work to locate them.

Be polite and you may get an invite or a few tips....

Keeping ones voice down seems to be a deffinate "DO"

Always approach an angler quietly, whisper, but try not to take the angler by surprise making him/her jump out of their skin....

Dopay ya mate for the maggots, never throw bread at him and return camo bucket. /forum/smilies/party_smiley.gif

Dobring hot coffee to mates swim, fanx Townsend. A little more milk next time. /forum/smilies/hot_smiley.gif

Do always be first in weir swim and tell others bowlox, sod off, i'm here first.

Dont tell Speci where you are going.

Never distract an angler whilst he/she is in the "concentration mode" some anglers get aggitated and tend to strike harder when this happens, thus causing breakages!

Don't frown upon kids that aren't fishing correctly - give them some of your knowledge.

They're the fishing future and we all started somewhere.

"Do's"

Always remember to settle up on the petrol money, a thick head because of the cider is no excuse!

Totally agree Nik, help the kids whenever possible, we were all young once...

DO NOT STAND IN FRONT OF A ANGLER WHEN HE IS FISHING. IT IS RUDE.

STAND BEHIND HIM, TALK QUIETLY AND DO NOT SHOUT ACROSS TO OTHER ANGLERS.

Speci print this page off and keep it with you at all times, you are guilty of many of these crimes.

Don't go on a 30 minute wander (checking licences) and leave 3 baited rods in. (just because you've got a remote alarm doesn't make it OK)

Don't tell me you had a bream at 2.30am but couldn't be bothered to wind it in until 7am, Id rather not know that! (both from a club bailiff last weekend)
