Good Afternoon all

I has A nice walk the other day along the banks of the river Tame in Tamworth staffs.

Ive been wondering how it was fishing ,doe's anyone fish it ?.

The part in talking about is were it meets with the river Anker through the town centre to a weir and down towards hopwas.(staffs).

I have heard its had a lot trouble over the years with polution but has been cleaned up .

It looks great for a day fishing and would love to give it a go.

Any info would be greatly apriciated .

All The Best To You

Can't speak for the Tame, but used to fish the Anker a few seasonsago and used to have some good sessions - plenty of roach and skimmers/bream with chub in areas.

Used to be day ticket.

Cock pegs used to be the bomb hole - 100 yards up from the junction with the Tame right just before the 'castle bridge', The next few pegs the other side of the bridge were good for a few fish too.

Best with a touch of colour in it.

Had a walk up last autumn, plenty of signs of fish then
