The River Medway

Hi All,

Has anyone been fishingon the Medway resently??

I have just moved to Maidstone and found that you can fish this river FOR FREE!! So i was wondering if anyone had any good spots, tacktics and baits??

I am going to approach it the usaual way with either a ledger or small open end feeder with worm or maggot??

Also doees anyone know what species are present??

Bags and bags of bream plus the usual others. Never fished there but have fished all the areas above Penshurst, which is lovely. Look in the rags because they always report from the Maidstone area.

From recollection its feeder tactics....and lots of it!

Maidstone twon area behind the courts is a great place for winter roach bags, also for the pike under the road bridges. Find them and you can bag up on the bream too. most methods work there and for update info pop down to one of the local tackle shops.
