Advice on tackle!

Hello there!

Ive been fishing on and off for years now and feel its about time to update my coarse fishing kit (Rod and reel to be precise)

I currently have a Shakespeare Feeder rod that I use for floating/ledgering and a bit of quiver tipping! The reel is a basic shimano. About ?35 I think at the time

What would anyone recommend? I really want someting of quality. A full cork handle preferably and a decent match reel. I'd be looking to spend about ?100 on each. Maybe a bit more on the rod.

Dave, if you simply want one rod and reel to cover a variety of situations the current John Wilson Avon Combination should fit the bill on the rod front and something like the Shimano Sahara GTR3000 reel, that should save you best part of ?60!
