It's about time I guess and I'll stick my neck out and organise this one...

Any Severn-loving FM'ers who fancy helping out... please(no really please!) feel free to get in touch. C'mon Brummie!

I'm thinking from the second week in October- mid-November as prospective dates?

Sat/Sun obviously...

Oh yes please! Pole or my new rod (with "barbel" written on the butt), don't care which one, but please count me in.

Providing the dates are suitable I'd love to visit the Severn - its been far too long since the last time, so count me in please.

Neil - is it the rod or you that has Barbel written on its butt?

Derbyshire: best beer, best cheese, best puddings.
Yarp.

The Aces / Chavs fish in is being proposed for October at some point so keep an eye on the dates. I'm sure Neil will keep this thread informed if he's fixed a definate date for that one?

I need another double figure Severn fish, I might go for a 30lb carp.

:O)

I'd better check dates with other FM events. There is a Kennet do around the same time as well...

Hang on a bit I'll do some research :)

In the meantime if anyone is a definate 'interested and has commitments any weekend in late Oct/ Nov, now is the time to say, so we can get the right date for everyone.

Right have checked it out.

The Aces vs Chavs at Gold Valley is provisionally set for the 6th Oct (although there is some talk of moving the date) and the Kennett grayling do is 17th November. I?d favour 27th/ 28th Oct based on the premise that it should be warmer but given our outrageously mild climate maybe Nov 3rd/4th, or 24th/25th or 1st/2nd Dec?

Not sure where yet Eddie as there are no waters where I normally fish that allow night fishing unless you are prepared to join the club first...

Has anyone ever been here?

****y, with respect, as organiser book a date convenient to yourself firstly!

That looks a good base mate, could be worth a call to see if they accept large parties.

I'd like to come but I'll have to wait for dates to see if I'm working before I can say for definite. If I win the lottery beforehand, count me in! ;-)

Right ,

How about the 27th/ 28th October? Any alternate venue suggestions welcome, in the meantime I'll contact the Red Lion (see link above)and sound them out about parties.

Good to see a lot of interest already...she is a mighty mighty river :)
