Good luck to all the lads Fishing the Itchen this weekend, Gutted I cant make it this time, its always good craic. A fair bit of rain around early in the week , much needed for a lot of southern rivers.

Touch wood...after tomorrow no more significant rain "dahn sarf" so all the tom tit should have been flushed through and the river will be in decent nick for the weekend. With a bit of luck I will be too provided Mrs S doesn't raise any objection to me going...though I guess I really should have mentioned this to her sooner.

If the forecast for S'ton is right it doesn't look bad at all. 8 -10C with a light NE'erly sounds better than the upstream hurricane of last year.

Thank you all for your thoughts.

Whilst you are fishing i will be heading for the airport, the funeral is on Monday in Scotland. They don't wait around up there it seems.
