AKA Simon, 1953 - 2022 (RIP)
9am in the carpark 5 of us met up and questioned our sanity after driving miles from home in torrential rain. Luckily it wasn’t windy as we climbed the ramp for a look at the res. We decided on the better roach pegs and got set up.
We hadn’t been fishing long when a tall, dark stranger appeared, it was Skippy. The look on his face said it all...
After an hour or so it began to brighten up a bit, the roach were coming in thick and fast for those on the float.
Gordon (wettthrough) and Pete (John Step) discarded their hoods and started fishing in relative comfort.
Meanwhile Ian to my left was also into some nice roach. Jerry and Skippy were on the tip targeting the carp.
Some of the roach were pushing 14oz and were in lovely nick.
Pete on a tea break.
Gordon, wet but cheerful.
Itsfishingnotcatching for Ian
Jerry, cheerful as ever.
Skippy with one of his 2 carp..
