The problem with that Evan, is that members of a specialised catfish forum are likley to be very cautious (at best) to a 'visitor' to the site asking for the best venue for his group of 'novices' to turn up to for a weekends fishing............

This is another option........

Funny that, I was just about to post the Naseby link back atcha !!!

[Edit]although the following reference from their webpage

"Anyone who catches a catfish is asked to telephone the British Waterways 24-hour emergency line 0800 4799947 and to hold onto the fish until it can be collected and transferred to a licenced venue".

would rather suggest that the pussies aren't there as a matter of welcomed, just tolerated, and that the more they are fished for the fewer there will be in there.... so may beg the question of how many head there are ?[/Edit]

Re. Forum to forum.... one can only try and ask. Which I have done. If someone wanted to ask a similar question on here about Tench or Carp or whatever I'd hope that they'd get a helpful answer.

I live in eternal hope, as it is not sustainable to live in despair. Think the best of your fellow man* and he will hopefully repay that thought

* except for Cakey of course, except for Cakey.... :wh

If I get a couple of hours spare tomorrow, I'll pop down and have a look round - its only 20 mins or so from me.

Just need a few more names now.....

We're all in the know now......... It meets all the crucial critira:

1. Expensive
2. Miles away from the suggested location (midlands)
3. Very few big fish

Where are you taking us next........ ;):wh

Just lost the post that I had written ,have had a look on their website , 3 rods £40 , regardless if you are only fishing with two , for 24hrs .
48hrs £60 , ( north lake ).
They have closed one of their lakes which will mean added pressure on the booking .
I suggest that we book as soon as possible for the four of us , if anybody else wants to come , then they will have to make their minds up fairly quick , we still may have lost out due to pressure .
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ?
