It seems a bit light top end for setting the hook for perch.
Small river grayling roach dace probably perfect.

And too short for bigger river trotting. Thats why looking for another 14ft one ideally and continue to use my Drennan Avon 1.25 series 7 for perch. Gives option of livebait as well as prawn.
