Fly Fishing in the Fens ... ?

Anyone in the Fens like to recommend a venue ? I'm fairly new to the area but know (and dislike) Grafham ... and getting to the point where I might (fly) fish on the Gt Ouse for dace ...

You have answered your own question. I haven't paid for a day ticket in years other then when camping with friends. The area where you live is teeming with dace and chub and they provide great sport on fly tackle. Even roach will oblige a dry fly or shrimp type nymph. Then there are perch and pike galore.

Give it a go. You might enjoy it.

Ah, thanks for the reply ..... I should have said I'm not new to fly fishing but generally what seems to happen is that if I find somewhere I'm 'frightened off' by the daily rate ... so I end up fishing whatever river is close by ... in this case I was hoping someone might know of the odd 'fly' lake in the area ... there must be somewhere ...
