Wye lead

I have a couple of very light Rapalas which I couldn't cast more than a few feet. I assume I have to use a wye lead or similar but I don't know how. Grateful for any help.

If you're using a Wye lead, attatch one of the swivels to your line and the other to your trace, then attatch your chosen lure to the other end of your trace. In other words, just use it like an oversized/weighted swivel Matthew.
