Hi Piers

Sandford weir is an area I plan to concentrate on this year. Haven't found any trout yet, having a hard time getting a lure past the all the chub and pike that are in residence.....!

Of course I haven't caught any trout lately, you need to go fishing for that to happen!

I'd have thought would have had sufficient time to catch that trout seeing as it was 7 years since your first post saying you would really try for one.

Unless those stripey trout count, the ones with the prickly dorsals.
