Ghost tubes

I have recently "purchased" a quantity of pole tackle and included in the pack is a pack of 5 Quantum Ghost tubes each 5g 8mm diameter.
Us in the world of coarse fishing haven't a clue as to what these are for. We do understand however that they may have something to do with Trout fishing.
Are any of you "fly men or ladies" able to shed any light on what is now an intriguing little problem. Thanks John

They look as though they could be see-through casting weights for use with light spinners.

Alan. Thats a strong possibilty, they do have a hole through the centre of the tube and they are conical in shape.
The hole in the centre is somewhat large for monofilament so perhaps they are more suited to a fly line.

Anybody any better suggestions?
