Has anyone tried these rods - 9 1/2ft 6-7 tele and 9ft 6-7 put over. I've recently taken up fly fishing and looking for a rod to leave in the car. My 10ft 6-7 rod's a bit of a give away and I wouldn't want to leave anything to expensive in there.

Hi Steve, not tried them, but using 4 piece Shakespeare Expedition 9' 6/7 and its great.Small enough to tuck away, in tube, and ultra slim. Does my seatrout, small Salmon too. About ?80 discount, but been told the 10' is totally different. Go and have a waggle in the shop, superb rod.

Hi Steve!

I tried to send you a message a couple of days ago but it did not get through for some reason.

I have two rods that might be of interest:

1) Fulling Mill 9ft 4 piece rated for a 5 line. Our Editor, Graham, used it on a recent trout fishing trip and found it very good for casting even on a windy day. It comes in a very neat hard-wearing tube which is complete with carrying strap.

2)Daiwa make an excellent 4 piece 6 rated travel rod. I've taken mine to all kinds of venues and it fishes well on lochs and rivers.

Trust that this is helpful to you.

Best wishes
