Tim,
stick with Kamasan hooks and you won't go far wrong. They are about ?4.50-?5.00 per 100.

Kamasan B175 will suffice for nymphs and dries
B830 is a longshank for lures
B110 is good for grub and also buzzers

The best thing would probably to go in to a shop and look at the hooks as many of them are very similar.

The Viper hooks from Lureflash are excellent.

But they look very much like Kamasan.

If you are doing light flies i.e. dry flies or slim wet spiders I like the Tiemco barbless hooks. They aren't that easy to get hold of though.
