Hi Steve,
Can relate to your kennet woes ,previous visit to the opposite bank yielded a new pb amongst a brace of doubles and other smaller fish ,this was using maggot and caster .
Yesterday i arrive full of anticipation and armed with caster this time, and for my efforts i am rewarded with a hook pull and a cray!
This will only make me more determined next time.
Next time out for me will be back to the wye, where 2 of the 5 days will be at holme lacey, if you are in the area you are more than welcome.
Keep up the posts they are a good read.

Colin,

Many thanks.

Neil,

The fishing is getting a little harder, time for the Severn very soon. I'm on the Wye quite a bit in October, May catch up with you.

All the best.

Great read again Steve.
Even better to see that you have helped so many people achieve their dreams of catching a big barbel and put a smile on so many faces!!
Fantastic!!
