Like everyone else, I assume, I've watched open-mouthed (so to speak) as split cane rods like the old B.James Avons and Carps rise in value. Who'd have thought, we say, that my old MKlV would ever fetch £300.00!!

But think about it...that really isn't that expensive for a superb rod that not only looks good but also does a good job - some would say a superior job. In the game world it's possible to pay close to a grand for a really top class fly rod yet even these beauties won't have had the time and expertise afforded them that's expended on a good quality cane rod from B.James, Sharps, Constable and the like.
