Angling Trust CEO Jamie Cook has called on anglers to write to their own MPs asking them to back our plans to ensure fishing is at the front of the queue when the Government eases restrictions on the current Coronavirus lockdown.

This is the first time I've been able to find a link through (beyond this link) to the actual details of the proposal and it is as they say, a compelling argument.

There are side issues such as the opening of tackle shops in order to supply essentials such as bait but I'm sure that many of us will find a way around that with 'supermarket baits' and the best bait of all for those who want to put a spade in the ground.

I wish them luck and hope it succeeds, I think it will... We certainly can't carry on like this indefinitely.

Well that was a waste of time, did everything they asked, wrote the letter copied it, and it wouldn’t paste into the form.
