Hi, I'm looking for suggestions for lakes in the North West/North Wales.

We are after going for a couple of days so will using a bivvy so either a double peg or pegs close by.

After a general coarse lake with a few big carp / tench in.

We don't get to go fishing much these days, so a relatively easy lake is preferred.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Zoe :)

Most of my venues are club waters and if not are in Cheshire! I suggest you do a google search for commercial fisheries in the post codes you are interested in! There are not many day ticket waters which allow bivvies overnight in my experience!

There are dozens of commercials all around me but most are just day ticket! Be more specific as to area ie Warrington, Macclesfield etc and I can recommend a few!

Try wyreside, about 30 minutes from Bolton, also you have Jumbles res, Pennington flash, most commercials are daytime only due to security, some do night fishing by arrangement, There is Shakerly Mere near Middlewich/Holmes Chapel, that is a 48 hour day ticket water, contact Lymm Angling club for details,

My local is a small place, 11 pegs and averages about 2foot deep no tench (unfortunately) bur a good easy going days fishing. Average carp 2 to 8lb, record is 18lb. For a fiver it's good, had 27 carp out on Monday 6 doubles biggest about 14lb.

Its in Rossendale if you are interest let me know and I'll share more details.
