Well I have just baught my licence and permit today after a break from fishing for over a year. I have no idea why I gave it a rest but I am back with a vengence! I have yet to put a line in the water but I am excited just at the taught of it. I have got all my rods and gear out, cleaned everything and I am looking forward to a weekends fishing! My nets have seen better days so ?I have decided to purchase new ones too, its suprising how quickly nets dry out when they are not been used and looked after.

There's nothing wrong with taking a short break from a sport as enthralling as angling is. Just so long as you do come back.

I had a break too, a while back, and getting back in there is a brilliant feeling when you realise youv'e not lost the old skills!
