My club took out a public liability insurance out with SMg RISK Solutions, Leeds, last year after the previous insurer refused to take us on. Shortly after we took a much improved policy out through NAFAC, and we were told by SMg that the premiums paid would be re funded. Now 8 months on, and after several telephonee calls and three unanswered letters from the club secretary we are no further forward.
Just wondered if any other club/association has had similar problems with this company

Tell them you'll report them to the Insurance Ombudsman.

It usually works.

Theres always small claims court. I think the limit is ?5000 but i could be wrong.

I would suggest you contact the General Insurance Standards Council (GISC) www.gisc.co.uk. This is the regulating body who SMg (part of the Folgate group)belong to.

Comparing them to theives on an open forum will not help the cause and could get you into trouble.
