After many years of collecting and research, my pal David Beazley has finally published (on 30/10) the definitive book on the history of british freshwater angling as it has been depicted in prints (etchings, engravings, lithographs etc.) over the last 300 years. It contains more than 350 images of work, by 150 artists. Such an exercise hasn’t been undertaken before, and knowing David’s attention to detail, probably won’t be surpassed. It could be the perfect Christmas for the angler who has everything (and who’s interested this kind of thing).

For those of you who might be interested, the website through which the book can be purchased is here Images of Angling by David Beazley

It is also available from Coch-y-Bonddu books, and Farlows in London.

Sounds good, i'd love to see my drawings in a book one day. Out of curiosity are there any modern artists feature in the book, if so who?
