My wife - the only person I know to have fairly caught a Bullhead on the fly (from the Dove if anyone is interested).

In fairness, it was not caught on a dry fly, and it didn't take much bringing in.

Wasn,t the largest sea fish (Blue Fin Tuna ) and record holder caught by a woman, forgot her name.

No longer take my wife fishing with me after repeated thrashings , have had a session where I did not even get my rod in the water spent all the time at waterside baiting and unhooking fish for the wife much to amusement of several onlookers

I have known and fished with on a number of occasions a couple of lady flyfishers, both British, both still alive and who shall remain nameless, who were simply exceptional, often outfishing not merely their excellent husbands but the other five to nine often very experienced male fishers in parties fishing salmon in Iceland or sea-trout in South America. No fluking, no lady's luck here, simply bluddy brilliant Anglers.

Joan Wulff still runs her fly casting school in the USA, one of the best fly fishers who ever lived.

I know a couple of lady fly fishers who live in the Sheffield area who are quite brilliant, like Kay Peet for example!
