    Eddie saw your question under another topic...I think you where asking how to use hemp without having to boil it for hours. Well you do need to cook which I think you also asked but try soaking the dry seeds for 24 hours before you cook them. it will drastically reduce the actual cooking time.

    A lot of people advocate putting the seed into a flask with boiling water.
    I have never found this to be as effective as soaking/boiling as it seems that not as many of the seeds split, although you do tend to capture more of the oil.

    dont bother soaking or boiling.
    just put your dry hemp in a good bucket boil a few kettles of water or until the water covers the hemp by a few inches or so. leave overnight or better still 24hours. make sure you keep the lid on when you top up with the kettles.
    job done no mess no smell.

    A good soak with any seed before boiling definitely gives the seeds a more consistent and even texture, ie, more hemp seeds split more evenly.
