I will ask my old fishing mate Ron Clay nearer the time if he fancies a trip as Ron and myself spent a lot of time on the Idle.
Up to you Paul you will be more than welcome and i have plenty of float rigs you can just stick on the end of your line plus we have a pub near the river

It is a good time for me as I get Fridays and Saturdays off work.
One thing that would be nice is that it would give me a chance to thank
The guys you have mentioned, as most have answered my angling
questions in the past.
Now its your turn John!
I like to knock a few dace out John, my local river is very shallow (the nidd),
Could you give me your own angle or approach to float fishing in shallow conditions, i.e. shotting, choice of float and anything else that would polish me up.
Are you having some more articles in future editions of the star John?
and I refuse to eat buckets of prunes if Ronnie Clay turns up for the meet!
