    Default Ebay Madness

This has worked well elsewhere so I thought I'd post it here. A single thread for all the stuff you see on Ebay (generally fishing stuff but doesn't have to be) for what you consider to be a daft price. It can roll on indefinitely.

I'll kick off with this, note the very appropriate sellers name!

How about this? I know that they are supposed to be very good but that price is just crazy.

I like how in the £3,000,000 one they still want to charge you £2.50p P&P now that's cheeky <grins>

If that Carbotec rod was one of a pair - I'd pay up to £800 if they were in good condition.

If i see the words 'rare', vintage' or 'scarce' - I have to stop myself laughing when applied to some of the junk that really should have not been salvaged from the dump..........

And why is it that every one once owned a cane rod that they wish they still had 'cos it would be worth 'thousands' if they 'ad it now.......

check this out - most expensive 'bean poles' in the garden centre LARGE COLLECTION OF OVER 150 VINTAGE FISHING RODS | eBay

perfect example of the misuse of terms - 'scarce', rare etc

The Carbotec is overpriced at that money.

I have the Number 3 float rod and the Number 3 feeder rod that were around 400 pound each when new.

Mind you, the extra tips for the feeder rod were 32 quid a-piece if I remember rightly.

But then, they are truly lovely rods to play with . . . . . . . . and if compared to a Sage Z-Axis for example it represents good value for money.

    Some would disagree though . . . . .

Scholars have long known that fishing eventually turns men into philosophers.

Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to buy decent tackle on a philosopher's salary. ~
