Get a chain saw, cut all the bloody trees down, then you can use one of those big 17ft float rods like Yorkshire bare knuckle fighting champion Johnny ?the stick float? Ledger uses!
With a rod of that length, you could poke a seal in the eye if it kept trying to get at the gudgeon in your keep net and stuff!
