Going back 30 years there used to be a good boatman there. Used to specialise in tope fishing, got bitten one day and had to have 30 -odd stitches in his arm.

Best bait seemed to be razorfish then or squid as a second best. Big skate and monsters were believed to be around Bardsey sound if you can get that far up.

Millions of jellyfish too. That bay is a natural trap for them, and leatherback turtles.

They used to do 'short' boat fishing trips at one time, you will have to ask around when you get there, or look in the sea fishing colummns of the angling mags.

Penohmn Point not sure of the spelling, or Black point as some people call it might be worth a go. But be carefull as the rocks are very slippy there. I would suggest one of the charter boat trips.

They were insured for 12 anglers. But usually there would be the odd couple of spaces vacant. Ask at the harbours.

Sorry,
Penohm Point (Black Point) is on Anglesey. Try the charter boats.

If you walk to the right of the small jetty, there are, or used to be some lug beds at low tide, if you can get a boat out to the muddy hollow take it, there are some big fish there.
The tope fishing is good, and there are some very good ray not far offshore.
Good luck, the fishing should be OK.
