I was reading Kevin Cliford's guest editorial in the last copy (he has officially retired) and sales are up - NOT cos he retired:eek:mg::D

He did mention newsagents/outlets - it shoud be easier to get hold of as it is now available in more outlets, BUT, interesting quote:

'there are simply too many outlets compared with the number of readers. if there are 20 000 potential readers of a magazine and 250 000 stores, what do you do? if you print 250 000 and sell 20 000 you go bust. As a rule of thumb, a specialist magazine needs to sell roughly 50% of the number of copies it prints'.

You may have heard of it as Coarse Angling Today,
It's been around for years!

Coarse Angling Today (the word is coarse, not course), as Fred says has been around for over 10 years to be exact, and is arguably the best magazine dedicated to all round coarse angling in the country. The last issue show a remarkable increase in the number of advertisers which is good news for the magazine as a whole.

And its 45p cheaper than its competitors.

And there are some excellent offers being made for subscriptions.

And I don't work for them, even though you might see the odd article written by myself.

Oh and best of all, it's produced in Yorkshire!

:D

I took it from the very first issue, untill for some unknown reason young Mr. C stopped my DD ????

Ron makes a good point about COARSE, nothing annoys me more then when someone, usually with a web site, offers or writes about COURSE fishing
Of course its an easy mistake to make when hastily posting on a web forum :)

But, Course Angling Today wouldnt make much sense - I'll get my hat

I'm the last one to correct spelling as I make quite a few myself. However Course instead of Coarse has been going on for so long that the word Course, meaning a way of angling, just might be thought to be correct. Of course it's not as the words mean two entirely different things.

I know of two signs outside commercial fisheries where it states "Course Fishing".

Pardon the pun by the way.

Two mistakes on the one page HERE This mistake is usually made by people who only see angling as a source of income and have no interest in angling/fisheries. But what really winds me up is CHUBB. The key that unlocks the real reasons for running a course fishery
