i used to love photographic fish like that, especially if you can get them leaping or head and shouldering, its takes quite a bit of timing and skill tocatch them just right

Ha ha, you can just about see the maggot feeder in front of its head.

My phone camera is only 3.2 million pixels with no optical zoom so the image is a bit ropey. Also I just grabbed the phone out of my pocket and took one quick snap as I didn't want to lose it on a barbless hook.

It's a Sony-Ericsson and to be fair it takes a pretty good photo unless you want or need to zoom in. No optical zoom at all and at 3.2 million pixels any zooming noticably affects the image quality.

It always benefits from a quick levels or contrast adjustment in Photoshop too but I find most digitals seem to need that to some degree.

The other shots on my thread that Ed linked to are all on the same phone camera, you can see how closer subjects come out very well indeed.
