The rod is a MARCO ELASTICANE silver neptune, made in late fifties, I have two of them that I usually use with a penn squidder or a penn 160

Marco (Modern Arms Co) Elasticane is the name you are looking for, they also did the elastiglass.

We managed to establish this 21 months ago and it was a Silver Monarch not a Neptune....10/10 for effort though.
