FM broken again...?

We are aware of an ongoing issue and our tech team have the short term fix - we are working on the long term fix but as it involves a third party it has not happened as quickly as we would have hoped.

I work in IT and have done for a long time , one thing I have learned is how to tell a customer something is broken and frankly this isn't it.

You need to give the customer as much information as you can , and be honest with them , you will find that they are many times more co-operative and on-your-side once they know what is going on.

That is all the information there is: our tech team can fix the bug in the short term when it happens but are relying upon the third party forum software support to deliver the long term fix.

Will it be fixed at weekends ?
Does someone check out of hours when the forum is busiest ?

What is long term ? Weeks ? Months ?

The forum is checked regularly, both at weekends and evenings, and if admin / tech are not online if one of the moderators spots a problem and informs admin / tech via phone or email it will be fixed as soon as admin / tech can get online.

Long term is whenever the software support get back to our tech people, we are flagging the issue to them daily but cannot estimate their response time.
