When using power gum for sliding stop knots, does it matter about the b/s?

I will be using with loaded floats to adjust the depth.

Thanks in advance

Use slightly heavier mono or shearing elastic, especially good if your using braided lines, cheap as chips :)omg:) easier to tie and far more effective.

It's the thickness that counts. You need something thin enough to go through your rod rings once knotted.

When using mono always leave long tag ends because they remain supple, if you cut them short they become stiff and catch on the rings.

I've not used power gum or elastic but would imagine long ends are good for the same reason.

I use 14lb Powergum for stop knots on lines down to 6lb. As has been said already, leave the tag ends long (an inch or so) and you'll be fine.
