On Saturday, I tried out my latest groundbait mix that has no added food. It is a lean version of my Two Dog groundbait. The new recipe can be found HERE. It still works well but when I ran out, I went back to using the original mix with the added food. The catch rate went up almost immediately. I suspect the weather is still not that cool and I believe F1s don't slow down their feeding habits as much as other fish do at this time of year.
The full story of the day can be found on my blog HERE as well as a couple of pictures of two very different looking mirror carp. I assume they are different hybrids, but I am not sure. I am still finding me feet identifying all the different carp, just as I think I have it sorted out in my head, up pops another one!
