Hey guys,

My missus is going to buy me a new feeder rod for my birthday, but she doesn't know anything about fishing so has asked me to send her some links.

I don't need anything too expensive, I'm a pretty casual angler who will have a few hours on a commercial and a few hours on small rivers and canals.

What would people recommend? Lets put a price tag of £80?

I've seen Korum feeders here: https://www.anglingdirect.co.uk/korum-feeder-rods

But I dont know what casting weight etc I'd need?

I'd also be looking for 10/11ft - i struggle with bigger rods :eek:mg:

When I started off I bought a 10' Korum feeder and an 11' maver abyss x(£10). Both great rods and I still use the Korum in very tight swims! There are some very good rods at bargain prices! Some of my more recent purchases have been somewhat more expensive!

If your fishing were I think you go you won’t need anything over 10ft or 11ft so any of these

Shimano Forcemaster AX Commercial Feeder 10ft … cast up to 70g price £35-£40

The Korum you mentioned

The tackle box are doing deals on the Darent valley rods or combo set ups

Fishing Tackle, Carp Fishing, Fishing Rods, Carp Fishing Tackle & Carp Rods

I have a Darent valley rod and there good rods for the money

That looks like mine in 10'. Another vote for the Darent Valley .75 tc specimen ! This is a great rod for the money and is sensitive as a tip rod. I broke my original tip but modified it and use it as a swing tip. The replacement provided free of charge is used as a feeder and occasional float rod!

Interested in the Darent Valley, but I can't see any feeder rods, unless they are called something other than a feeder? :)

The Darent Valley is called the .75 tc specimen ! It's a light Avon style rod with a sensitive tip. I painted the last couple of inches of mine white and use it regularly! It's a feeder rod and at around £40 it's a bargain!
