It's likely that I will be attending my Uncles 80th birthday party in Tring on 27th Jan.

Any suggestions for a fish during the day. Ideally a river?

Or any members of clubs that can guest a FM regular?

Cheers.

There's no river fishing in Tring itself. The ressies aren't much cop lately either.
There's 10 miles of canal bank but none is canalised river.
The nearest river would be the Thame but that's out beyond Aylesbury, or the Gade around Hemel or Watford..
I usually fish a canalised bit of the Gade near Hemel on Saturdays, you could join me if you want?

The nearest bit of river with day ticket access could be the Ouzel on the south side of M.Keynes on the MKaa website, some good chub and roach Graham,at around 10m wide,it has a bit of character to it and its not that far up the A5...

Thanks for the kind replies. Now been told its lunchtime do. Not evening as I thought, so no time to fish after all.

Simon. As a nipper used to fish the bit down from the magic rounddabout to the canal section and over the road at the lime factory. Also canal upstream. Guess the big brownies no longer there.

Thanks again for the offers/suggestions.
