It is the capacity for infinite variation that makes Angling the sport that it is.
If every trip was predictable within a strict set of rules how long do you think that you would love the sport.
I can remember excellent catches on days where everything seemed to be against catching anything of note according to the rules but still the fish fed and added another memory.

There is nothing predictable about fishing in my experience except it's unpredictability !
