Snap, my thoughts exactly...
As far as I can remember, a fairly short list:
A trk-cast aristocrat that went at the butt when casting a 3aaa waggler. Tackle shop repaired it and I used it for over 20years after ... the last few with 2inches off the top as well.
A Shakespeare LXL that I broke putting it in a tube. Replaced FOC.
A fine Daiwa quivertip that I snapped when using braid on an occasion with a lot of duck weed (jammed in tip ring whilst reeling in).

Broke the top six inches off my browning Bob Nudd 13 foot float rod, hooked a unexpected big carp and lost it at the net , was not the fish that broke it, was my temper. never done that to a rod ever again.
