thought i would share some information with all you like minded people. don’t buy worm food as cold chips and veg/ bread scraps does very well. when l brought my first 250 grams i separated in two in separate plastic boxes so i don’t disturb the same box every week/ trip. any compost will do and soon they will breed and there will be millions of tiny white worms , just keep feeding and only take medium size worms until the small grow, so leaveing a breading stock. don’t forget to put a lid on the boxes as my first lot were wiped out by a bloody rat . you can use barbless hooks as long as you thread the head past the eye / spade . they evev breed in winter . hope this is useful.
